Our products
Inspired by the National Trust, our products aim to meet the following criteria:
'Environmental'
We do not use scarce or endangered materials in the production of our products. They are environmentally non destructive. All timber products are made from Softwood FSC timber which means the timber comes from well managed and renewable sources. Most of our products are produced locally which helps us to keep supply routes short and CO2 emissions low. Lastly but not least we only use 'responsible packaging'.
'Natural'
Wherever possible our products are additive free and not tested on animals. We use natural materials, minimum processing and craft processes are encouraged.
'British'
We source our materials within Britain and Europe, they are locally inspired, locally designed, made and fair traded in Britain. We believe in promoting British jobs and rewarding local craftsmanship to help the environment and promote the local economy.
'Ethical'
Working conditions in our workshops are safe and regular employment is provided using local staff.
'Quality'
We require excellent design, materials, and workmanship. Each producer is an expert in their own field and have worked closely with our product designers to ensure the materials and workmanship practises are of a high standard. All our products are designed uniquely for the National Trust and many have been inspired by the designs and architecture of the National Trust's own properties making these truly inspirational pieces.
Our products are produced under licence from The National Trust (Enterprises) Limited. www.nationaltrust.org.uk
